This morning I woke up to pouring rain. I went out to feed the animals and they looked pretty uncomfortable. I put a new, larger tarp over top of the broilers' pen. This one goes all they way down both sides and the back, so that should really help keep them dry. I also put some straw down for them so they were off the ground.
Of course, I do that for them and they still prefer to huddle under the overhang of the garage. The door is even open for them to go inside! Go figure!
Rain does make for some cool pictures though!
The sheep knew how to stay dry. They didn't want to leave their cover.
Look what I saw. Can you see it? The faint orange mark on Clarabell's right hip? Looks to me like Calvin tried to mount but she wouldn't stand. Hopefully that means tomorrow or Sunday she'll be in heat. She must have been going out of heat the first day she was here.
It's chilly here. In the 60's. I've got a chicken roasting in the oven and David and I have been hiding out under blankets on the couch. Yay for fall!
