Wish List

Sometimes when I'm at work I daydream about all the things I want to do...at home, in the garden. I think about what I'm going to plant in the garden next spring. I think about decorating the house. I think about what I can make to sell so I can make a little money. I also think about spending money. I like to window shop...online. I thought I'd show you what I've been wanting lately. The list changes frequently, but these are some of the things I've been wanting for a while now.

An egg scale. If I ever sell eggs (which I'm working towards), I'd like to get a scale so I can mark the egg size on the cartons. I like the new ones, like this blue one found at most farm supply places. They're kind of expensive. Around $40 I think, which is expensive to me.

Or there are these cute vintage ones. I'll take either. I'm not picky.

I'd also like to get an incubator. I was thinking it's much easier to let the hens raise the babies, but while they're sitting on nests they're not laying. I figured I could hatch the chicks so I could keep getting eggs. The typical incubator like this costs about $50-$55. Not too bad. You can also buy an automatic egg turner, which I would like, but I could live without if I had to. I think the egg turners usually cost almost the same as the incubator.

Here's something else I think is really cool. It's a 6-in-1 cake platter. Look at all the cool things you can do with it! Punch bowl (for all those times I make punch), cake server, covered veggie tray thingy, pie server, salad bowl, chips and salsa tray. You know, looking at the pictures, it's really only a 5-in-1 server. I mean, when you have it set up as a bunch bowl, it's the same as a salad bowl or the whatever is in the upper left hand corner picture. Oh well, I still want it. I think it costs around $30.
This is something I've been wanting for years. A Kitchenaid Stand Mixer. *drool* I would love one of these. They are awesome. I mentioned to David that I wanted one, and he asked if one of the stand mixers from Walmart would do. I explained that the Kitchenaid mixer was like the Snap-On tools of the kitchen world. Snap-On is a tool company that makes high quality tools and sells them at very high prices. I think I could buy him a screwdriver or a wrench for $50. He loves Snap-On. Yes, other tools would work, but they're not going to last as long and they're not as good quality.
Just look at this gorgeous thing. I love the color. Ice. Reminds me of a '57 Chevy. Sleek and cool. I want all the cool attachments too! I only need to save up $500 (figuring the blender and the attachments. Or maybe just the blender).

And the last thing on my Wish List. This cute little Cairn Terrier (mix?). He's looking for a home through one of the adoption groups near here. Well, 2 hours from here. It's actually the same group that I got Scooter from 13 years ago.

They say he's about 7 years old, good with kids and other dogs, and loves to snuggle. Cute! We're thinking about it. We have a pretty good thing going with our 2 dogs now, but we've been talking about a third. And he wouldn't eat much. Bonus!

I love all the things on your wishlist. I make those lists too... usually when the kids are cranky or while I'm changing diapers... I like to dream of all the fun things I'd like to do one day! LOL
I think I'd give my pinky toe for one of those Kitchenaid mixers. Love that color!
That vintage egg scale is so cool!
That doggy is very cute! :)

Puppy face is sooo cute! I hope he finds a good home.

I could help you out with a punch bowl. Now it doesn't have the other pieces but it is a bowl that can be used for punch, soup, salad, chips and there are cups which could hold individual servings of soup or punch. It's glass with glass cups.

Hmm, when you and Becky visit we'll have to look through my kitchen to see what y'all could use. I use to sell Pampered Chef. I still have all of my samples.

PS the kitchenaides are not included :)

That color of the mixer is awesome! I love my KitchenAid! I think I'd buy the lift up head next time. I first thought the bowl lifter was the best but it gets in the way actually. I love your new photo of the sheep - bucolic! Isn't it fun to have a wishlist? I love how your nesting instinct is so strong - you have a million ideas for your home! Love you, Momma
