Garden Tour

I've been meaning to do a garden video and show y'all what's going on in my garden. I apologize for the weeds, they've been getting ignored lately. Also, sorry for any jerky camera work! It was really sunny out and I couldn't see the screen to actually see what I was filming. And, if you notice I stopped the first video rather suddenly. My neighbor was walking over and I didn't want him to think I was some lunatic talking to my vegetables!! :-)

And check out my tomato stakes! My coworker/friend's husband made them. He's a carpenter and used some leftover wood to make them, so they didn't cost anything to make. I'm trading them a few dozen eggs for a few dozen really nice, sturdy stakes! I love bartering!

Things are looking great! Wish I had the time and energy to get my garden going this year, but it will just have to wait till next year. SweetDreams KY

Pretty good considering how large your garden is and how dry it's been lately for you. I know what you mean about losing energy to weed and maintain and I can relate about getting discouraged about pests eating the plants. I no longer have any canteloupe, spinach, or lettuce. We saw the bunny the other day AND the geese family from the lake have been visiting!! The hotter it gets, the harder it is to make myself work out in the sun!! I am rooting for you and I LOVE your red cabbage! Nice size heads Katie! Thanks for the video! Love you, Momma

Thanks Amanda!

Mom, I'm sorry to hear about your garden pests. :( And I love growing red cabbage...it always seems to do so well despite being neglected!

I love seeing your garden. I love how much space you have! Your summer squash looks great!! Awesome cabbage! Don't worry, there are no garden police to arrest you for not weeding :) Get thee some Roundup! :) It may not be organic but it's the only way my aisles stay aisles! :) Your tomato plants look healthy. I love those stakes. Bartering is great.

Oh girl we have SOOOO many weeds in our garden this year, looks like some one snuck in and planted grass seed! Love your free tomato stakes! I need to go take a peek at our garden today, right after I pick berries.

Katie, you have so much garden...it's great!! I love your stuff, especially the brocolli rabe, carrots, swiss chard, and carrots. I love your annex too. Don't worry about the weeds, and just get to it when you can. love you.
