And it feels so good! I brought Purl home from the breeders' place yesterday. It is great to have her home. All my babies under one roof. Ok, well maybe not exactly.
She was glad to be back too I think. You can't tell it now, but she and Darla were pretty happy to be with each other again. Darla stuck pretty close to her yesterday evening. I think she was telling Purl never to leave her alone with a ram again.
Don't they just look thrilled to have her home?
The breeders saw Purl bred, luckily. She was bred on September 21, so that would give her a due date of February 13th. Darla was bred on October 8th, and June was bred on October 15th. Darla didn't come back into heat, so I'm hoping she's definitely bred. If June comes back into heat, it won't be until November 5th. Darla's lambing date should be around March 3rd, and June's will be March 14th. I'll be taking blood samples this weekend to send to Biotracking to get them preg checked. I like knowing for sure if they're bred.
Now comes the hardest part....waiting!
