Quick Science Experiment

The kids and I did a quick and easy science experiment the other day.  We picked several Queen Anne's Lace flowers and put them in water with food coloring. Then we waited.  A day later we could see the flowers starting to turn color, and they got darker the longer we waited.  I added more food coloring after the first day, which made a big difference.  The only one that didn't change much was the purple.  All of the rest are very pretty!

That's the most beautiful science experiment I've ever seen!!!! I think I might keep jars of rainbow colored water in my window sill just to look at it! How pretty! and fun! :)

I LOVE activities like that!!! Just the beautiful color has me hooked!! It's neat to see how they really take up the color! I wonder if the color will stay once you dry the flowers? If so, how pretty that would be! Your kids are lucky to have you doing such fun activities! Love, Momma
